Overview

The Sky-Watcher Quattro 200Q kit features the Wave 100i strain wave (harmonic) mount, a carbon fiber tripod, an extension tube, and the 200/800 Quattro 200 Photo Newtonian OTA with a dual-speed focuser. The Wave 100i mount weighs only 4.3 kg yet supports a native payload of 10 kg without a counterweight and 15 kg with one. It offers dual saddle capability, a 300:1 transmission ratio, and a maximum slew rate of 2400x (10° per second). Designed for sidereal, lunar, and solar tracking, it operates on 12 V DC, supports AZ/EQ modes, has a working latitude of 0°–90°, and comes with a five-year Sky-Watcher warranty. Its harmonic gearing ensures precise, minimal-backlash tracking for astrophotography while remaining compact and portable.
