Equatorial Mount Features

The Sky-Watcher 114/900 EQ1 Reflector Telescope features the EQ1 lightweight equatorial mount, providing a single-axis movement to compensate for Earth's rotation during observation. This design allows for high-resolution tracking with the convenience of adjusting a single knob while following celestial objects across the sky. For added ease, an optional tracking motor can be effortlessly attached to the right ascension axis, enabling comfortable observation without manual tracking efforts.

Aligning the equatorial mount is a straightforward process that can be completed in minutes. After leveling the tripod and orienting the mount southward, match the mount's inclination to the angle of your local latitude. For instance, in Sydney (latitude 33° South), adjust the mount inclination to 33° above the horizon using the EQ1 mount's built-in scale. This simple setup ensures an optimal viewing experience.

Premium Imaging Performance

The aluminized primary mirror features an aspheric (parabolic profile), creating an optical system free from spherical aberration.
