The JL Audio C1-690 is a 6x9-inch 2-way component speaker system featuring a polypropylene woofer and a 1-inch edge-driven aluminum dome tweeter. Designed for seamless integration behind factory grilles, it includes spacer/adaptor rings and surface or flush mounts for flexible installation. The woofer employs FEA-modeled design, a DMA-optimized motor, rubber surround, and flat Conex spider for precise motion and low distortion. The tweeter offers superior high-frequency clarity with silk surround damping, Ferrofluid, and a neodymium magnet circuit. An in-line 2nd-order high-pass filter with Advanced Tweeter Protection enhances smoothness and power handling, delivering dynamic, clean, high-fidelity sound comparable to premium speakers.
