Overview

The Sky-Watcher Black Diamond 80ED paired with the Wave 100i mount and carbon fibre tripod provides a high-performance setup for visual astronomy and astrophotography. The Evostar 80ED doublet refractor delivers sharp, high-contrast images with excellent color correction. The Wave 100i mount uses strain wave (harmonic) gearing, offering highly precise tracking with minimal backlash while remaining compact and lightweight. Despite weighing only 4.3kg, it supports up to 15kg without a counterweight, making it suitable for a wide range of equipment. It features dual Vixen/Losmandy saddle compatibility, dual AZ/EQ operation, fast slew speeds, and multiple tracking modes for versatile observing.
