Overview

The Vaonis Dual Band Filter for Vespera is designed to significantly enhance nebula astrophotography. By selectively capturing hydrogen alpha (H-alpha) and oxygen III (O-III) wavelengths, which are strongly emitted by nebulae, the filter increases contrast between the nebula and the background sky. This results in sharper stars, finer structures, and more detailed images, even when observing from light-polluted urban environments. The filter installs easily and discreetly into the Vespera optical arm, ensuring seamless integration. Optimized specifically for nebulae, it is not suitable for galaxies, stars, planets, or the Moon and should be replaced with the standard filter for those observations.
