Overview

The Sky-Watcher Heritage 76mm Dobsonian is an excellent choice for beginners and children, providing simplicity and ease of use—an ideal gift for young astronomers. Equipped with a 5×24 magnification finderscope and two 1.25″ eyepieces, this telescope comes fully assembled and ready to use out of the box. Simply point the finderscope, insert the eyepiece, and enjoy the night sky!

The telescope's optical tube design is historically significant, reminiscent of Galileo and his conflict with the Catholic Church. Galileo Galilei's advocacy for the heliocentric theory, where the Earth revolves around the Sun, led to his denouncement by the Roman Inquisition, facing accusations of heresy and retracting his theories.

The telescope tube is marked with the words "Galileo 400" in recognition of the 400th anniversary of his first telescope in 2008.
