Overview
The Sigma WR (Water Repellent) Protector Filter is a transparent filter designed for lens protection. It has a 1x filter factor and doesn't impact overall image quality, but it safeguards your lens from dust, scratches, moisture, and other potential threats. This filter is multi-coated to eliminate internal ghosting and reflections. An anti-static coating helps prevent the buildup of static electricity, which aids in dust removal and prevents particles from clinging to the filter. Additionally, its water-repellent coating enhances its ability to repel water and oil, resulting in improved cleaning efficiency and increased scratch resistance.

UV Water-Repellent, Antistatic Type
Protector is developed to protect the lens surface from dirt and dust as well as scratches. It is an ideal filter for regular use as it is completely colorless so does not affect color reproduction.
Water-Repellent (WR) Coating
The WR coating reflects just 0.24 percent of visible light, effectively reducing flare and ghosting. It excels at repelling water and oil, making water droplets bounce off, and allowing easy fingerprint removal with a simple wipe. Moreover, it boasts exceptional lubricating properties, providing over ten times the scratch resistance compared to SIGMA's current Super Multi-Layer Coating.
