This includes two Special Low Dispersion (SLD) elements, an Extraordinary Low Dispersion (ELD) element, an 'F' Low Dispersion (FLD) element, two aspherical elements, and other high-performance glass elements. Leveraging SIGMA's advanced optical design technology, this lens effectively minimizes various types of aberrations, including the challenging axial chromatic aberration that cannot be corrected in-camera.

This motor drives a single, lightweight focusing lens element, ensuring swift and silent autofocus performance that adeptly tracks moving subjects. For manual focusing, the lens offers a smooth and precise experience, with just the right amount of resistance, making it well-suited for filmmakers.

Professional Feature-Set

The SIGMA 35mm F1.4 DG DN | Art lens features an aperture ring on its body, providing aperture control through the lens or, when set to Auto, via the camera. To prevent accidental adjustments, there's an aperture lock switch on the lens that can secure the aperture ring in Auto mode. This lens is particularly advantageous for filmmakers as it offers the option to de-click the aperture ring, enabling seamless exposure adjustments. Additionally, the lens barrel houses a focus mode switch and an AFL (Auto Focus Lock) button, which can be customized for a preferred function through the camera menu (depending on the camera model). The switch is conveniently positioned for easy thumb control during use.
