Overview

The Quasar Science Rainbow 2 Q25R2 Quad Kit features 4 60cm linear LED lights, a heavy-duty waterproof travel case and all the accessories you need for a lighting set up in one place.

Rainbow 2 is a 60cm linear 25W light source with an RGBX colour system and a single row of pixels for a slimmer profile. The Rainbow 2 (R2) is the ultimate linear LED for motion pictures and content creation. Ready for work as a key/ fill light, its shape produces flexibility like no other.

From lighting actors to environments, high-quality tunable white light and the highest RGB colour saturation with multiple pixels maintaining super smooth, flicker-free dimming, the R2 will be your workhorse. This linear LED light offers incredible data connectivity whether wired or wireless and can be powered anywhere via AC and DC power inputs. Integrated Ossium Mounting System (OMS) allows for rigging in ways previously unobtainable.

An industry-first perceptually distributed colour palette created by Quasar's advanced colour science research uses the Psychophysical construct of Just Noticeable Difference to deliver instinctual lighting control. In addition, Spectral Control, a new technical and creative tool, enables the output to be desaturated for colour-matching third-part fixtures or creative intent.

The travel case is moulded of ultra high-strength polypropylene copolymer resin, to resist corrosion and impact damage. Each case is gasket-sealed, water and dust-tight, and submersible. Standard features include a moulded-in hinge, padlock loops, patented trigger release latches, snap-down rubber over-moulded cushion grip handle, and automatic ambient pressure equalization, offering maximum protection for your lights.

Colour Science
The unique RGBX Spectral Science Colour Engine (RGBX SSCE) in the R2 delivers a choice of more than one billion colours. RGBX SSCE provides the complete range of potential spectral fingerprints available for each colour within its entire gamut of colour possibilities.

To create the lighting industry’s most intuitive and natural colour control experience, the RGBX SSCE maps its colour calculations in the perceptually uniform CIE 1976 chromaticity space.

Connectivity
With every industry-standard wired and wireless option, the Rainbow Series provides advanced networking architecture solutions and scalable options. With no need for additional data boxes, receivers or transmitters. The Rainbow 2 has a built-in Ethernet Node expanding data versatility.

Mounting
Ossium Mounting System (OMS) integrates seamlessly and efficiently with industry-standard hardware for safer, faster rigging with greater precision and style.

Pixelation
With more pixels and greater control than any other tube lights, Rainbow fixtures produce more realistic animation to take your lighting effects to a whole new realm. More than just volume, spectrally-based colour calibration provides each pixel with dependable vibrant colour values.

Power Anywhere
Power R2 lights anywhere with plug-and-play AC and DC capabilities. Direct AC input without a power supply or the Ossium Battery Plate makes swapping batteries seamless reducing downtime on set.

Universal AC & DC Power Inputs
The R2 can be powered through either the universal AC power input for mains power anywhere or the auxiliary DC input for use with power bricks and battery packs.

Expanded Onboard FX Engine
The R2 is enabled with generous FX presets with a multitude of new parameter controls allowing you to fine-tune everything from Emergency to Paparazzi. Adjust Hi/Low Intensities, Speed, Colour and more.

Foam Interior
Each customized compartment is made of water-jet cut TopGuard PE Foam, according to Quasar Science’s specifications. The foam’s dense top layer defends against degradation for long-lasting protection.

Easy Storage & Inventory
With every part of the RR Kit having a designated compartment, wrapping is easy and keeping inventory can be done with a simple visual survey. The slender case has a small footprint for travel and storage.
