The M.Zuiko Digital ED 100-400mm F5.0-6.3 IS II is a versatile telephoto zoom lens designed for Micro Four Thirds cameras, offering a 35mm equivalent focal range of 200mm to 800mm. This extensive reach, combined with a compact and lightweight design, makes it ideal for wildlife, sports, and telephoto macro photography. It is compatible with teleconverters, offering super telephoto shooting up to 1600mm (35mm equivalent) with the M.Zuiko Digital 2x Teleconverter MC-20 (sold separately).

Weighing approximately 1125 grams, the lens is engineered for portability without compromising performance. Its robust weather-sealed construction ensures reliability in various shooting conditions, providing dust and moisture resistance for outdoor photography.

The lens features a complex optical design comprising 21 elements in 15 groups, including four Extra-low Dispersion (ED) lenses to minimize chromatic aberrations, two Super High Refractive Index (Super HR) lenses and two High Refractive Index (HR) lenses work together to deliver sharp, high-contrast images across the entire zoom range. Additionally, the advanced ZERO (Zuiko Extra-low Reflection Optical) Coating effectively reduces ghosts and flares, ensuring clear image quality even in challenging lighting conditions.

In bird and wildlife photography, reach is essential. Starting at 400mm to capture subjects from a distance in their natural habitats, and extending to 800mm for detailed portraits (35mm equivalent), all while avoiding disturbance to the animals.

Extend to 1600mm
This lens is compatible with teleconverters, offering super telephoto shooting up to 1600mm (35mm equivalent) with the M.Zuiko Digital 2x Teleconverter MC-20. Perfect for capturing distant wildlife without disturbance, it’s also compatible with the M.Zuiko Digital 1.4x Teleconverter MC-14.

Tele + Macro = Telemacro
