When combined with a Sync-IS-compatible camera, 5-axis Sync IS can be utilized, delivering the world's most powerful stabilisation performance equivalent to 6.5 shutter speed stops. Z Coating Nano helps produce clear images
The new Z Coating Nano technology is used on this lens to thoroughly suppress ghosts and flares, providing the photographer with sharp, clear images. By coating the lens surface with a layer of nanoscale-size particles filled with air, a coating layer with a similar refractive index as air is achieved, for reduced surface reflection.

1.5-cm working distance for fantastic close-ups

Unrivaled mobility
Excellent image quality required by professional photographers is delivered throughout the entire zoom range, from the 24mm wide angle end to the 200mm telephoto end. The performance of two competitor lenses is packed into this one lens, providing outstanding mobility for the photographer. Wide-angle shots, telephoto shots, macro shots, nightscapes, and movies can all be taken with this one lens.
Excellent image quality
Four aspherical lenses including a DSA lens are effectively placed to suppress aberrations that may occur when zooming. Five ED lenses suppress colour bleeding that tends to occur at the telephoto end, and secure image quality to the very edges of images throughout the entire zoom range.
Compact, lightweight package
DSA lenses and Super HR lenses are used to keep the number of lenses in the configuration to a minimum. Also, DSA lenses are made of glass with a higher refractive index than previous products, making the lens more compact.
Constant f/4.0 at any focal length
A maximum aperture of f/4.0 is delivered throughout the entire zoom range from wide-angle to telephoto, overturning the conventional wisdom that the telephoto side of a zoom lens is always darker.
Compatible with 5-axis Sync IS
The M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-100mm F4.0 IS PRO includes an in-lens image stabilisation system, which, when combined with the Olympus camera[3] in-body 5-axis image stabilisation, makes 5-axis Sync IS possible.
