The Lensbaby Soft Focus II optic is a versatile addition to the Optic Swap System with an aperture range from f/2.5 to f/22. It builds upon the success of the original Soft Focus optic, a highly sought-after lens in the Lensbaby lineup. Designed for compatibility with both current and legacy Optic Swap lens bodies, the Soft Focus II distinguishes itself with a 12-blade manually adjustable internal aperture, enhancing its magnetic aperture system.
At its brightest apertures, the Soft Focus II produces ethereal, impressionistic images with subtle underlying sharpness. It imparts soft pastel tones and creates a remarkably flat field of focus, enabling the capture of images that are truly unique and unattainable with standard lenses. When stopped down to f/8 or smaller, the Soft Focus II delivers beautifully detailed, traditionally sharp images with a generous central focus area and softly blurred edges, suitable for full-frame sensors and 35mm film. The lens's internal 12-blade aperture, adjusted by turning the front of the optic, facilitates quick transitions between various optical effects, from dreamy and radiant to sharp and contrasty.
