GME AE4702BTP is a rugged, high-performance antenna pack to suit Australia's harsh conditions. This medium-duty all-terrain twin pack is Australian designed and manufactured to meet the tough conditions of the Australian outback.
The AE4700 series is an adaptable antenna system with the coaxial termination embedded within the spring assembly with an easy screw down fitment of the whip. This allows for interchangeability of whips depending on the operating conditions and application, shorter lengths with lower gain for hilly terrain and longer lengths with higher gain for travelling on open roads with flat terrain. These antennas are a popular choice for 4WD enthusiasts hitting tough tracks or rugged touring.

Is the GME AE4702BTP Antenna Right for me?

Alongside considerations of Installation requirements, you need to consider the Gain Rating of your Antenna and how it will impact your use. The AE4702BTP from GME offers two different gains and it will depend on the antenna used.

AW4701B Antenna is a unity gain (2.1dBi) that outputs a signal at the same level at which it is input. The broad distribution pattern of unity gain antennas is less likely to be obstructed by buildings, bushland and hilly terrain. Therefore, a unity gain antenna is the best choice for a rugged and mountainous country.

AW4702B is a 6.6dBi/medium-gain antenna, providing a more rounded, broader pattern than a high gain (8.1dBi) antenna or unity gain antenna (2.1dBi). Meaning the signal is less likely to be obstructed by obstacles such as buildings, trees or mountains. These factors make a medium gain antenna the best choice for those in suburban areas and the countryside.
