Access Dash Cam Parking Mode Feature

Selected Gator Dash Cams offer advanced parking modes that will record incidents while the vehicle is unattended. To activate this feature the dash cam must be hard-wired directly to constant power in the vehicle's fuse box using the GHWCUSB2 (the micro USB power cable included with compatible Gator Dash Cams is also required for installation). This installation method will provide constant power to the dash cam at all times to ensure an incident is never missed, even while the vehicle is parked. The module also has low voltage detection and will stop drawing power from the vehicle battery while in parking mode to prevent battery drain so you can be sure the vehicle will start.

Free Up Your Accessory Socket

Gator dash cams come supplied with a power plug that connects to the accessory socket in the vehicle. Using the Gator GHWCUSB2 USB Hard Wire Kit with the micro USB power cable supplied with compatible Gator Dash Cams means the accessory socket will no longer be used to power the dash cam, freeing it up to use for other devices in the vehicle including smartphone chargers, GPS navigation units etc.

Discreet Installation

The GHWCUSB2 USB Hard Wire Kit is 12/24 volt compatible and comes supplied with 3 fuse taps, Standard, Mini and Micro, making it a convenient and simple installation suitable for virtually any vehicle. It simply connects to the vehicle's fuse box allowing the dash cam's micro USB power cable to be connected to the GHWCUSB2 under the dashboard of the vehicle. The dash cam power cable can be routed behind vehicle trim panels for a discreet and professional installation.
