Celestron AstroMaster LT 70AZ 70mm Telescope – Adapter & Filter

Explore the Moon, planets and night sky with the Celestron AstroMaster LT 70AZ 70mm Refractor Telescope. Designed for beginner astronomy, this easy-to-use telescope combines fully coated glass optics, a 700mm focal length and a stable manual alt-azimuth mount. Two included eyepieces provide 35x and 70x magnification, while the smartphone adapter and Moon filter add versatility for lunar photography and observation. Its straightforward setup makes it ideal for families, students and aspiring astronomers.

Key Features

• 70mm Refractor Optics: Fully coated glass optics and a 700mm focal length deliver clear views of the Moon, planets and brighter celestial objects.
• Two Magnification Options: Includes a 20mm eyepiece providing 35x magnification and a 10mm eyepiece delivering 70x for closer observation of celestial subjects.
• Smartphone Photography Adapter: Attach a compatible smartphone to the telescope eyepiece to capture photos and videos of the Moon and other suitable subjects.
• Moon Filter Included: Reduces the apparent brightness of the Moon for more comfortable lunar observation, particularly when viewing its illuminated surface.
• StarPointer Finderscope: The red-dot aiming system helps users locate celestial objects and align the telescope more easily before viewing through the main eyepiece.
• Manual Alt-Azimuth Mount: Pan-handle controls and a clutch mechanism allow smooth horizontal and vertical movement, supported by a pre-assembled steel-leg tripod.
• 1.25-Inch Erect-Image Diagonal: Provides a convenient viewing angle and correctly oriented images, making the telescope suitable for both astronomical and terrestrial observation.
• Quick, Tool-Free Setup: The quick-release dovetail attachment simplifies assembly, while the included accessory tray keeps eyepieces and small accessories within easy reach.

Ideal For

• Beginners exploring astronomy and celestial observation.
• Families discovering the Moon and planets.
• Students learning about telescopes and astronomy.
• Hobbyists capturing lunar images with smartphones.
• Casual observers exploring distant terrestrial subjects.

The Celestron AstroMaster LT 70AZ combines accessible refractor optics, simple manual controls and useful accessories for beginner astronomy. The kit includes a tripod, two eyepieces, smartphone adapter and Moon filter. Smartphone photography requires a compatible phone, sold separately. The Moon filter is not suitable for solar viewing. Never point the telescope towards the Sun without an appropriate, purpose-designed solar filter, as permanent eye damage may result.
