Overview

3 Legged Thing Mike Kit is a travel tripod system with AirHed Cine Video Head and Arca-Swiss Plate. Mike is a carbon fibre tripod system with an adjustable levelling base and detachable legs. Equally useful for video makers or wildlife and landscape photographers, Mike is a robust levelling-base tripod, ideal for even the most challenging terrains.

The AirHed Cine is 3 Legged Thing's first dedicated video head. Precision milled from aerospace-grade magnesium alloy, and featuring a distinctive spiderweb design, the AirHed Cine has an adjustable, tilt mechanism that offers smooth movement and can be controlled directly, or with the included panning arm. The head features a friction control for the tilt mechanism, knurled clamp knob for improved grip and leverage, and a 360˚ panning base which can be locked off as required.

The Arca Swiss-compatible quick release plate features dual 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 camera screws. Ideal for video makers using mirrorless and DSLR cameras.

Up And Down
With a maximum height of 1.48 metres (58") and the ability to get as low as 13.5cm (5.3"), Mike is truly versatile at any height.

Smooth Operator
Mike's contoured levelling base features a dual-purpose D-ring which acts as the easy-to-adjust friction control for the leveller, as well as an attachment point for accessories or ballast.

On The Level
Mike's easy-to-adjust levelling base system enables smooth fast set-ups, and the built-in bubble level ensures perfect positioning.

Versatile & Modular
With 3 detachable legs which can be used as monopods or boom arms, Mike's levelling base can be converted to a tabletop / low-level tripod, or a foot stabiliser for the monopod, by adding 3LT footwear (sold separately).

Chicken Lips
Mike has been engineered with a style of Chicken Lips (shims) that give the leg locks greater strength, grip and formidable anti-rotation.

Rapid Latch
The new Rapid-Latch angle adjustment was designed to be easy to adjust, even for those with impairments, or wearing thick gloves.

O-Pads
Our new raised O-Pads with Bubble Grip texture provide better grip, torque and water dispersant than any other leg lock on the planet.

A Range of Footwear
Mike has detachable rubber Bootz which can be replaced with any of our foot accessories, for maximum stability on any terrain, including our DOCZ foot stabiliser.

Fluid Motion
The AirHed Cine has a fluid-motion, spring-balanced tilt action, and ultra-smooth panning, for precision cinematography and tracking.

Detachable Arm
The panning arm can be removed, or moved between left and right hand, giving maximum versatility for all users.
