In pursuit of outstanding optical performance for both still and video shooting, this lens incorporates two aspherical glass elements and two Super-Low Dispersion glass elements. Mechanics

The lens features a front with 55mm filter threads that extend during focusing but remain non-rotating. This design facilitates the use of various filters, including polarizers, ideal for landscape or product photography.

For added convenience, a focus range limiter switch on the side of the lens allows the user to lock the focus within or outside the macro focusing range, preventing excessive autofocus hunting.

The manual focusing ring follows the proprietary direction of Nikon and Canon lenses.
