New EXPEED 4 image processing engine
Nikon's new EXPEED 4 image-processing engine gives your pictures and movies exquisite color. This unique system runs through countless operations at lightning-fast speeds to produce images of exceptional quality.
Quality and Outstanding HD Video
The Nikon D5300 is designed without an optical low-pass filter (OLPF), allowing the high resolution CMOS sensor to record the smallest details with precision.
Highly Accurate Auto Focus
For optimal sharpness, the Nikon D5300’s accurate 39-point autofocus quickly locks on to and track subjects. Its 3D Tracking mode seamlessly maintains focus even when your subject is moving towards or away from the camera – ideal for videos and sports photography.
High Defintion Movie Capture
The Nikon D5300 is equipped with a D-Movie function that supports recording of 1920 × 1080/60p movies or Full High Definition. In addition, autofocusing during movie recording is possible using contrast-detect AF. Manual movie settings are also available, allowing users to choose the desired shutter speed and ISO sensitivity in live view mode and with movie recording. In addition to recording of high-quality sound via the built-in stereo microphone, the optional Stereo Microphone ME-1 can also be used to record stereo sound.
With Wi-Fi compatibility, Simply transfer shots to your computer or mobile device with the D5300’s built-in Wi-Fi®*, a first among Nikon DSLRs. A free Wireless Mobile Utility app lets you remotely control the camera with your mobile device.
With built in GPS, enabling recording of location data (longitude, latitude, altitude) with images. The A-GPS function also makes detection of location data smoother. This capability allows users to look back on memories or track their movement, on vacations or with outdoor activities by shooting location, and date and time of capture.
3.2" Vari-Angle LCD
The D5300’s large vari-angle monitor makes it easy to shoot from a variety of angles or to put yourself in the picture. Its 3:2 aspect ratio offers a wider full-frame view compared to conventional 4:3 monitors. With its 1036.8k-dot resolution, a 170º viewing angle and enhanced brightness, you’ll view your images with greater clarity.
In 2017 one of the world's largest and most respected photographic companies will turn 100. Nikon was one of the innovators of the DSLR camera and was the first company to enable video recording on a DSLR camera, in fact NASA called on Nikon to provide the photographic equipment on the Space Shuttle. No longer in the shadow of its competitors, Nikon now stands up as a world leader if not the world leader in digital photography and at RYDA we believe that Nikon always represents great value and even better technology.
