Our Review & Thoughts: 'Nikon P1000 - To the Moon & Back'
Don't buy an expensive telescope! Here is what we think you need - a good quality tripod, the ML-L7 Nikon remote (will explain in a second), the Nikon P1000 and hours of fun with the family especially the kids. The previous Nikon P900 was great, but the new Nikon P1000 is even better. Nikon is the king of zoom and taking photos of the moon will amaze the kids. How about Jupiter and Saturn? The tripod and remote are recommended to keep the camera stable while taking pictures of objects like the moon but the Nikon P1000 is still a competent handheld camera. Zoom, Zoom, Zoom and more Zoom. There is no competitor to this camera.

Nikon Corporation

One of the world's largest and most respected photographic companies turned 100 this 2017. Nikon was one of the innovators of the DSLR camera and was the first company to enable video recording on a DSLR camera, in fact NASA called on Nikon to provide the photographic equipment on the Space Shuttle. No longer in the shadow of its competitors, Nikon now stands up as a world leader if not the world leader in digital photography and we believe that Nikon always represents great value and even better technology.
