Compact, lightweight and extraordinarily bright 25mm Leica lens
This standard lens has a focal length of 25mm (equivalent to 50mm on a 35mm camera) and is suitable for a wide variety of occasions. You can utilise the composition, perspective and aperture control from daily snapshots including sceneries like sunsets and dimly lit indoor shots to the deliberately creative shots taking advantage of depth of field.

F1.4 brightness allows a shallow depth of field to make your subject really stand out
Based on the Micro Four Thirds System standard, this lens features outstanding brightness of F1.4 realised in the compact and lightweight profile. The extraordinary brightness allows a shallow depth of field for photo and video to be even more impressive and encourages you not to use the flash even in dimly lit conditions

Nano Surface coating results in super clear images with reduced ghosts and flare
Panasonic’s Nano Surface Coating technology means that reflection is dramatically minimised at the entire visual light range by applying the extra-low refractive index coating with nano-sized structure on the surface of the lens. The resulting pictures are clear, with dramatic reduction of ghosts and flare.

Ultra High Refractive index lens and glass mould aspherical lenses for edge-to-edge sharpness
The lens system is comprised of nine elements in seven groups, using two aspherical lenses and one UHR (Ultra High Refractive) index lens. The newly developed UHR index lens and glass mould aspherical lenses achieve uniformed description from the centre to the edges.
When mounted on the Lumix G Micro System cameras, this lens can take maximum advantage of contrast AF system, which boasts both high accuracy and high speed for more stress-free shooting. Seven blades give the aperture a rounded shape that produces an attractively smooth effect in out-of-focus areas when shooting at larger aperture settings. The highly reliable metal mount is durable enough for repeated exchange of lens.

Aspherical lenses
These lenses prevent spherical and distortion aberrations, so higher magnification can be achieved with fewer lenses. Resulting in smaller size and weight, these lenses feature the high dimensional accuracy of Panasonic’s cutting-edge production technologies, including concave lenses that measure just 0.3mm at their thinnest part.
