Compact and lightweight telephoto zoom lens, available in black or silver
This impressive telephoto zoom interchangeable lens for the Lumix G Micro System complies with Micro Four Thirds System standard. Ultra compact and lightweight, the Lumix G Vario 45-150 mm/F4.0-5.6 ASPH./MEGA O.I.S. lens is highly portable and offers a versatile zoom range of 45-150 mm (35 mm camera equivalent: 90-300 mm). This is suitable for zooming into the action and is an ideal travel companion due to its reduced size and weight.

MEGA Optical Image Stabiliser suppresses handshake for crisp, clear shots
The new Lumix G Vario 45-150 mm/F4.0-5.6 ASPH./MEGA O.I.S. lens incorporates Panasonic's MEGA O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer), which makes it easy to shoot super clear shots even in low-lit situations by suppressing the blur caused by a hand shake.

High speed silent AF system is perfect for capturing smooth photos and video
This lens incorporates a superior inner focus system, which enables excellent resolution and contrast from full life-size magnification to infinity. The inclusion of a stepping motor makes the focusing action smooth and silent for use in both photo and video recording. When mounted on the cameras of Lumix G Micro System, you can also take advantage of the high-speed, high-precision Contrast AF system.

Ultra High Refractive index lens and glass mould aspherical lenses for edge-to-edge sharpness
The lens system is comprised of twelve elements in nine groups, using two aspherical lenses and one UHR (Ultra High Refractive) index lens. The newly developed UHR index lens and glass mould aspherical lenses achieve uniformed description from the centre to the edges. The 7 aperture blades consists a circular aperture diaphragm and produces an attractive smoothness in out-of-focus areas even shooting at large aperture. The new lens system uses multi-coated lens elements that reduce ghosts and flare to an absolute minimum, helping deliver a high optical performance. The highly reliable metal mount is durable enough for repeated exchange of lens.

MTF Chart
For the lenses distortion compensation available, the horizontal axis of MTF is the distance from the center, which is compensated accordingly.

Aspherical lenses
These lenses prevent spherical and distortion aberrations, so higher magnification can be achieved with fewer lenses. Resulting in smaller size and weight, these lenses feature the high dimensional accuracy of Panasonic’s cutting-edge production technologies, including concave lenses that measure just 0.3mm at their thinnest part.

MEGA O.I.S (Optical Image Stabiliser) Designed to compensate for hands-shake ‘blur’, the MEGA O.I.S’s internal LSI compensates by processing the output of the gyrosensors at approximately 4,000 times a second. What you see in the Live View Finder or LCD image is what you get in the shot (especially effective when using a zoom lens).

Multi-coating Process In addition to a standard broadband anti-reflection coating, Lumix G/Leica DG lenses reduce the reflection of light entering at an angle. Widely used on fisheye and ultra-wide-angle lenses, this coating greatly improves results when shooting against a light source, resulting in high quality images with superb clarity.
