Samsung don’t have many DSLR lenses on the market, and their range is designed mainly for the extremely popular NX 10 DSLR. The Samsung lenses, however, are typical Samsung products- lightweight, compact do-anything lenses which compare favourably with anything on the market.
The Samsung DSLR lenses
There are three Samsung DSLR lenses on the market:
The Samsung S1855SB NX 18-55mm OIS F3.5-5.6 Lens-This is an advanced lens with 12 elements including an aspherical lens for image quality and just about any other feature you can find on most DSLR lenses. The lens is also designed to deal with 5-85% humidity, an indicator of the thoroughness of Samsung design.
TheSamsung T50200SB NX 50-200mm OIS F4-5.6 Lens- A telephoto lens which includes low dispersal features, essential for DSLR cameras, and ultra-wide angle shooting capabilities. This is an all-rounder lens, designed for portraits as well as long distance shooting.
The Samsung S30NB 30mm f2.0 Pancake Lens- This is called an “ultra-powerful” lens with good reason. It’s designed to do portraits and landscapes with high precision focus and low light shooting in any environment. This lens can achieve excellent contrast and colour. The lens is designed for the NX series.
Shopping for Samsung DSLR lenses
Samsung have created a simple range of choices for consumers, and DSLR fans will appreciate the fact that these three lenses really do cover all the requirements for DSLR photography. Samsung cameras are typically a lot cheaper than their competitors, and the same applies to the DSLR lenses, which are much cheaper than their big name rivals.
That said, you can get good discounts for the Samsung DSLR lenses online, including a saving of nearly 30% on the pancake lens. Even the most expensive Samsung DSLR is about half the price of its equivalents in other brands. If you want value, you’ve found it!
